The artwork responds to the house, drawn out of a wedge shaped site.
Two planes, one yellow the othe black, have been mapped from spaces and geometries manifest in the built form.
The yellow plane is non-illusionary - concrete, yet suggests an obstruction to an inferred space beyond. A black polygon has been drawn from reference lines in the built form as well as the architect’s drawings. This polygon, a receding plane, relays the eye beyond the back wall. On closer inspection the surface of the black polygon reveals the materiality of its surface; a rough texture of fragmented brick painted black and reminiscent of a ChromaHole.
